 Ramadan Mubarak 


Ramadhan or ramjan is one kind of ritual performed by all muslim people in whole over the world in a specific time in a year. Ramadan also spelled Ramazan, Ramzan, Ramadhan, or Ramathan. It is the ninth month of the Islamic calendar, observed by Muslims worldwide as a month of fasting (sawm), prayer (salah), reflection, and community. Ramadan is regarded as one of the Five Pillars of Islam. Ramadan for all adult Muslims who are not acutely or chronically ill, travelling, elderly, breastfeeding, diabetic, pregnant, or menstruating. The spiritual rewards (thawab) of fasting are believed to be multiplied during Ramadan. Accordingly, during the hours of fasting, Muslims refrain not only from food and drink, but also tobacco products, sexual relations, and sinful behavior, devoting themselves instead to prayer and study of the Quran. Ramadan is considered one of the holiest months of the year for Muslims. In commemoration of the revelation the Qur’an, which began in the month of Ramadan, Muslims attempt to read Qur'an during Ramadan. The entire Qur’an is also recited during special nightly prayers which is known as “Tarabee”. A Muslim family usually rises before dawn and eats a meal called suhur (seheri). At sunset, family members break the fast with a few dates and water, and depending on the culture, other light foods or fruit. This is referred to as iftar which means breaking the fast. Ramadan is a time for Muslims to be especially charitable and fasting & helps Muslims feel compassion for the hungry and less fortunate people. In other hand Doctors are also agree that fasting is extremely beneficial for lowering cholesterol levels and for other health benefits. Fasting is a means of purifying the body as well as the spirit, as it gives the body a rest from the continuous task of digesting food. So, the importance & benefits level of Ramadah is too high. And at the end of Ramadan, Muslims celebrate one of their major holidays called Eid ul-Fitr or the “Festival of the Breaking of the Fast.”

Padma Bridge


The Padma Bridge commonly known as the Padma multipurpose  Bridge is a two-level road-rail bridge across the Padma River, the main distributary of the Ganges in Bangladesh.The bridge was inaugurated on 25 June 2022 by the prime minister Sheikh hasina.  It is the longest bridge in Bangladesh. The bridge consists of 41 sections, each 150.12 m (492.5 ft) long and 22 metres (72 ft) wide, with a total length of 6.15 km (3.82 mi). Construction of the bridge was considered to be especially challenging due to width and depth of the Padma River. The Padma multipurpose bridge is ranked 122 longest in the world  The main bridge is 6.15 kilometres long, while the railway viaduct is 0.532 kilometres long. The bridge stretches for a total of 10.642 kilometres with 41 spans attached to 42 pillars. The total cost of constructing the bridge with domestic financing amounted to Tk30,193 crore. The government provided a grant worth Tk300 crore and provided the remaining Tk29,893 crore as a loan with a 1% annual interest rate, according to Bridge Division officials. Since the opening of the Padma Bridge, transport services have grown along the 21 district  in the southwestern region, keeping pace with the increase in passengers. Since its inauguration, the Padma Multipurpose Bridge has generated approximately Tk800 crore through toll collection in one year. Data analysis from the bridge department reveals that on average, more than 15,000 vehicles have crossed the bridge daily. 

However, the most significant improvement that will take place due to the Padma Bridge is the development of the southern region of Bangladesh. Like many opportunities, facilities will come with easy communication and transportation which will play a major role in the overall development process.
